For the Glampsite
Yes, we have solar power to run our lights, fridge and fan. However, as you can imagine (especially in winter) this can run out. We do have a back up generator, but please be judicious with your power usage – turn off lights when out and don’t leave the fan on all night (as we also need the power to flush the toilet!) DO NOT USE YOUR HAIR DRYER.
Whilst we do not yet have WIFI, you can get mobile reception at the glampsite.
Yes we have a small bar fridge to store your cooler items.
Yes, we have radiators in our tent which are set to standard temperatures during the day and night. A thermostat allows for adjustment to your preferred temperature. We also have a stunning ethanol burning fireplace for that extra romantic ambiance, fuel is able to be purchased as an optional extra. Keep in mind, although it’s glamourous, this is still camping – there is an outdoor bathroom and kitchen.
Of course! We have a BBQ and a gas hob. There is no oven.
No thank you! This is a smoke free glampsite. To keep the linens and decor at a premium quality for all our guests we also ask that you don’t vape inside.
No sorry. No pets please.
Maximum of four adults can stay in total.
We offer two luxury queen sized beds located at opposite ends of the main tent. There is a room divider between the master four poster bed and the living room, but please be aware that this space is essentially one large open plan room.
We have a policy of guests being 13 years old or older. Please note there is a pond in the near vicinity that you need to be mindful of.
Orchard Valley overlooks a kiwifruit orchard. There are plantings and young trees between the main house and the glampsite, but until they mature you can still see the main house in the distance. Bear in mind Orchard Valley is a working farm and orchard and therefore there will still be what we consider a normal amount of farm noises off and on during the day.
Yes, there is a pond. Please no swimming in the pond.
A sprinkler system is used for frost protection in the neighbouring orchard, no frost fans are now used.
