The Great Outdoors
If it’s relaxation you’re after then you can’t find a better spot for your glamping escapes than Orchard Valley. Glamping in New Zealand‘s rural surroundings usually means there is as much to do outdoors as there is indoors. Whether you choose to get up at dawn to enjoy the sunrise or start later in the day with a good book on the sun-drenched deck, you’ll be treated to expansive views of rolling hills, an orchard and native plantings. Take a stroll around the pond, feed the ducks or just breathe in the country air. At night the solar lights provide lighting so you can continue to use the decking area. After dinner, grab a blanket, make yourself a cuppa and toast marshmallows for s’mores on the fire pit. Or finish off your day with the delight of a dip in the wood-fired hot tub beneath the twinkling stars. This is glam camping at its best…

Wood Fired Tub
Situated privately in the corner of the wraparound deck is the alpine wood fired hot tub. If you’re planning on a dip be sure to heat it in advance – it takes 1.5-2.5 hours to get it from cool to hot water! The tub comfortably fits two people (and four at a squeeze!) is cleaned and new water is used between each and every stay. So sit back, relax and enjoy a romantic evening under the stars.
Outdoor Firepit
Wander down to the grass and sit on the tree rounds that surround the outdoor fire pit. Build your own fire and use the deluxe s’mores kit from your welcome pack to toast marshmallows and indulge in a sweet treat with some good company.
Native Plantings
Take a walk around the pond and enjoy all that nature has to offer. The property is surrounded by new native plantings and landscaping which will take time to mature. You’ll see views of the Kiwifruit orchard and on the glampsite and farm an abundance of other fruit trees with seasonal fruits such as apples, peaches, plums, feijoas, quince and pears.
Ducks
Our Pekin pets love to eat! If you’d like to feed them, a pottle of food is provided. Alternatively, sit and watch as our flock of white-feathered friends frolic in the pond and roam around the property. Don’t worry – they’re a friendly bunch!
